Hanson
receives national award as a top place
to work

Making
CE News national top 50 list as a great place to work has created
a buzz at Hanson. For the second consecutive year, Hanson has been
named one of the top best civil engineering firms to work for by the
national magazine. Hanson ranked No. 31 on the 2002 list.
This
honor is based on Hansons efforts in the areas of employee
retention and recruitment. According to the magazine, the contest
was designed to provide readers with a meaningful ranking
concerning human resource issues in the civil engineering industry.

The CE News award is special because it recognizes our efforts
to reward and retain our employees, says Sergio Satch
Pecori, Hansons president and CEO. And for our employees,
this award is no surprise. Heres what they have to say.
Our
founder, Walter Hanson, understood that creating a workplace environment
with both challenges and rewards attracts the type of employee that
has made our company one of the best, and that tradition has been
followed by Hansons leadership ever since.

One
of the reasons I joined Hanson was the companys emphasis on
employees and its belief that employees are the lifeblood of the
company. Everyone here is a vital component of making Hanson successful.
