Grounding network designed to protect communications towers

Hanson was retained by Motorola Inc. to design a grounding network to protect the Chicago Transit Rail Authority’s (CTA) communications towers from lightning strikes. The project was completed on time and within budget.

Construction activity included the oversight and material testing for four CTA sites. Services included coordinating contractor activities and reviewing schedules and contractor payment requests. We also provided contractor updates and schedule information to CTA on-site representatives.
