engineering award
SPRINGFIELD,
IL -- Hanson Engineers Inc., along with H&H Construction Services
Inc., recently earned a special achievement award in the 30th Annual
Engineering Excellence Awards Competition sponsored by the Consulting
Engineers Council of Illinois.
The
award was given for the new paint hangar at Garrett Aviation, Springfield,
Ill., (a design-build project), in special recognition of the engineer
and the owner/client for achieving engineering excellence. The 62,000
square foot project increased productivity for the aircraft refurbishing
business, thanks to Hanson Engineers' special design where temperature
and humidity are tightly controlled with a downdraft heating and
cooling system. Hanson and H&H worked closely together to help
Garrett Aviation develop the most modern aircraft painting facility
in the world.
