Hanson
receives Master
Communicator Award
SPRINGFIELD,
Ill. Hanson Professional Services Inc. was recently honored
with an award of excellence at the 14th annual Master Communicator
Awards on Nov. 21. Hanson received the award for their South Suburban
Airport public involvement Web site, in the multi-media category.
Charlotte Curry, communications coordinator, Darrel Berry, graphic
designer, Lance Ballinger, computer specialist, and Joan Freitag,
manager of business development, all contributed to the site development.
The
South Suburban Airport public involvement Web site was developed
for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to keep the
public involved with issues surrounding the development of the new
Peotone-area airport. According to judges comments, the Web
site was honored for ease of navigation, readability, quality of
graphics and colors, and the right amount of text. The
Web site can be found at www.southsuburbanairport.com.
The
Master Communicator Awards competition is sponsored by the Springfield
and Bloomington-Normal chapters of the Association for Women in
Communications and the Central Illinois Chapter of the Public Relations
Society of America.
