Joan Freitag national awards SPRINGFIELD, IL -- Hanson Professional Services Inc. came in at No. 13 among the top 130 design firms ranked by Midwest Construction in its October publication. The survey identified the design firms doing the most work in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. On a national level, this is the second consecutive year that Hanson was named to the CE News “Top 50 Best Civil Engineering Firms to Work For Contest.” This is the second year for the award based on efforts for employee retention and recruitment. According to the magazine, the contest was designed to “provide readers with a meaningful ranking concerning human resource issues in the civil engineering industry.” Hanson is a national employee-owned consulting firm providing a full range of architectural, engineering, scientific and program management services. Hanson has offices in Springfield, Rockford, Chicago and Peoria, Ill.; Indianapolis, Ind.; Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo.; Sacramento, Calif.; Seattle, Wash.; Atlanta, Ga.; Orlando and West Palm Beach, Fla.; Washington, D.C.; and Wayne, N.J.
