Hansons
Chicago regional office has evolved over the years from
a construction field office to a multidisciplinary office serving
a wide range of clients in the Chicago area.
The
field office first opened in 1990 when construction began on the
Willow Springs Intermodal Facility. Our staff designed this facility
for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway Co. As our work
for BNSF continued and our growth potential expanded in the Chicago
area, Hanson established a regional office in 1994 in LaGrange,
Ill. In June 1996, we relocated our office to its current location
in Oak Brook, Ill.
Our
staff provides a wide range of engineering, planning and surveying
services to private and public clients. Our clients include BNSF,
the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA), METRA, DuPage
County, the Joliet Regional Port District (JRPD), Motorola, Sun
Publications and the village of Hillside.
We
have an extensive network of resources to help us better serve our
clients. We work closely with our corporate office in Springfield,
Ill., and our regional offices located across
the United States. This allows us to draw on the skills and experience
of every Hanson employee. Our offices are also connected via
a wide-area network, allowing us to access information quickly.
Our
team of professionals in Oak Brook has provided design and construction
services for:
-
A
fiber-optic network for the ISTHA tollway system;
-
A
terminal building, maintenance hangar and T-hangars for the
JRPD;
-
Facility
improvements for several BNSF intermodal yards;
-
Utility
relocation for the village of Hillside as part of the "Hillside
strangler" reconstruction project;
-
An
apron expansion at Schaumburg Regional Airport for the village
of Schaumburg; and
